Tennis

Football & baseball

NFL Sundays, college football and MLB — with the Blue Jays on the board through the season.

Niche & global

Cricket, Formula 1, MMA, darts, esports and EA Sports FC round out the menu.

Decimal odds

How decimal odds work

Stake shows prices as decimal odds by default. The number tells you the total return for every CA$1 staked, including the stake itself.

So a price of 1.80 on the Maple Leafs means a CA$25 bet returns CA$45: CA$20 profit plus your CA$25 back. A price of 3.40 on a draw means CA$10 returns CA$34.

The implied probability — 100 divided by the odds — shows how likely the price suggests an outcome is. If your own estimate is higher, the bet may offer value.

Live betting

Betting in-play on Stake

Open the Live Betting tab and you'll see every event in progress, sorted by sport, with the current score beside each fixture. Markets re-price constantly and briefly lock when something decisive happens — a goal, a break of serve, a penalty.

Live betting rewards patience. Watching the first ten minutes of a game before betting often tells you more than any pre-match preview.

Approach

Five habits of disciplined sports bettors

  1. Specialise

Know one league deeply rather than ten loosely — Canadian hockey fans already have an edge in local knowledge.

  2. Compare to your own number

Convert odds to implied probability and only bet when you rate the chance higher.

  3. Flat stakes

Use a consistent unit, such as CA$10, rather than raising stakes after a loss.

  4. Keep multis small

Every extra leg lowers the chance of the ticket winning, even if the payout looks bigger.

  5. Track results

Use My Bets to review settled tickets and spot which markets work for you.
